Four alumni of The New School Creative Writing Program read from their new books!
Rebecca Reilly is the author of Repetition, published by Four Way Books in Spring 2015. She teaches creative writing at The New School, and is writing a dissertation on Gertrude Stein at The C.U.N.Y. Graduate Center.
Mark Bibbins's third collection of poems, They Don't Kill You Because They're Hungry, They Kill You Because They're Full, was published by Copper Canyon Press last year. He teaches in the graduate writing programs of The New School and Columbia University, and at the 92nd Street Y.
Kathleen Ossip is the author of three books of poems, including The Do-Over, a New York Times Editors’ Choice. She teaches at The New School, and she is a founding editor of the poetry review website SCOUT.
Soraya Shalforoosh’s first collection of poetry, This Version of Earth, was published by Barrow Street in November 2014. She has been a Writer in Residence at William Paterson University in NJ, a guest poet at Berkeley College in New York, guest speaker at the American Embassy in Algeria. Soraya has performed her poetry with jazz, blues and world music bands in clubs, universities and Central Park.
