Reading with Marisol Limon Martinez, Zachary Schomburg, Amy Lawless, Roberto Montes & Brooke Ellsworth

Zachary Schomburg is the author of four books of poems including, most recently, The Book of Joshua (Black Ocean 2014). He co-does Octopus Books and the Bad Blood reading series from where he lives in Portland, OR. 

 

Brooke Ellsworth is author of the chapbooks Thrown (The New Megaphone) and Mud (dancing girl press).  She has recent work in jubilat, The Volta, interrupture, The Seattle Review and Matter Monthly. 

 

 

 

Marisol Limon Martinez is a writer, musician, and visual artist based in New York City. She is the author of After You, Dearest Language (Ugly Duckling Presse), First Space, Then Structures (Nothing Moments Publishing), and the chapbook Honorary Men (Guillotine). Her book-length poem Via Dissimulata was recently published by Octopus Books.

 

 

 

Roberto Montes is the author of I DON'T KNOW DO YOU, named one of the Best Books of 2014 by NPR and a finalist for the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry by The Publishing Triangle. His work has previously appeared in The Atlas Review, Apogee Journal, Jellyfish Magazine, and elsewhere.

 

 

 

Amy Lawless is the author of two collections of poems, most recently My Dead (Octopus Books 2013). Loo for her third collection, Broadax, which is forthcoming from Octopus Books in 2015. An audio chapbook from BROADAX is just out from Black Cake Records. Recent poems have appeared in Atlas Review, Black Warrior Review, Smoking Glue Gun, and Best American Poetry 2013. She was a 2011 New York Foundation for the Arts poetry fellow, and lives in New York City.
