Four of today's most searching and progressive poets at NYC's hippest poetry bookstore and salon. It is our pleasure to welcome Claire Donato and Timothy Donnelly, two of our personal favorites, and to celebrate Jessie Janeshek, upon the publication of The Shaky Phase, her second full-length collection.
Claire Donato
Claire Donato is the author of The Second Body, her first full-length collection of poems (Poor Claudia, 2016). She is also the author of the novel Burial, from Tarpaulin Sky Press. She grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, holds an MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University, and lives in Brooklyn, NY. Her fiction, poetry, and lyric essays have appeared or are forthcoming in the Boston Review, Encyclopedia, Evening Will Come, LIT, Octopus, and 1913: a journal of forms. She is the author of a poetry chapbook, Someone Else’s Body (Cannibal Books), and was a finalist for the National Poetry Series. For more information, visit somanytumbleweeds.com.
Timothy Donnelly
Timothy Donnelly is the author of two books of poetry, Twenty-seven Props for a Production of Eine Lebenszeit, and The Cloud Corporation. He earned a BA from the Johns Hopkins University, an MFA from Columbia University, and a PhD from Princeton University. Donnelly’s poems have been published in anthologies such as Joyful Noise: An Anthology of American Spiritual Poetry, as well as magazines and journals including The New Yorker, Harper’s, jubilat, The Nation, The Paris Review, PEN America, Ploughshares, TriQuartely, and various others. His work has also been translated in German and Italian. Donnelly is an assistant professor and director of undergraduate creative writing at Columbia University. Jessie Janeshek
Jessie Janeshek's second full-length book of poems is The Shaky Phase (Stalking Horse Press). William Lessard
