The big idea is the ways in which artists register and document what is happening in the world, and how they participate in structures of dissent through their work.
So much of this is coming up in art work lately, not in literal manifestations even, but just this resurgence of thinking about and naming identity or expressing feeling of frustration and loss. We are all, as poets, thinking about sharing work that does this, whether it points particularly to our terrible specific current situation, or is thinking about the more widespread, historic roots of it. This is a space for protest, for healing and for learning.
